The Washington Post article continues:
"The judge sentenced Libby three months after a federal jury found Cheney's one-time top aide guilty of four felonies for failing to tell the truth to a federal grand jury and the FBI about the disclosure of former CIA agent Valerie Plame's identity. Libby was convicted of two counts of perjury, one count of making false statements to FBI agents, and one count of obstructing justice. He was acquitted of a fifth count".plez sez: Oh, what a joke (ha ha ha... my second joke of the day)!
How is Libby guilty and neither Cheney nor Rove nor Bush were even indicted on this obvious crime? Scooter Libby is the scapegoat's scapegoat... i almost hope Bush gives him a presidential pardon!
u do know what a "whipping boy" is, right? do people think because slavery was "declared" over that it's practices would stop?
ReplyDeletei'm just surprised that they would let one of their own get "whupped"! i guess he's what we call in the business: the "low hanging fruit" in the Bush Administration. i'd be surprised if Bush/Cheney let's Scooter spend much time in the hoosegow.
ReplyDeletewhen their own don't play by their rules they do more than whup them - u saw what happened to JFK...and i know u recall my favorite movie: The GodFather;-)...
ReplyDeleteYou can't blame the Bush administration for anything their corrupt asses have done because the American public, for some unexplainable reason, have given this administration a blank check to do whatever the fuck they want.
ReplyDeleteThey should all be impeached.
Clinton got impeached for getting a hummer!!
Bush and Cheney are liars and murderers.
I need some coffee.
david,
ReplyDeletei often wonder, why has bush (and his minions) gotten such a free ride for every blunder and misstep and lie! they haven't been held accountable for anything... even this Democrat-run congress has done nothing to them. this whole matter is very frustrating.
i need some Zoloft!
∂ude was definitely the fall guy here .I wonder how much he was paid to take the sentence and shut the fugg up...?
ReplyDeletei don't know how much he got paid, but i'm sure he's jonesin' for a Bush pardon before he gets sent to the slammer!
ReplyDeleteThis sentence doesn't surprise me, but it confirms that the whole prosecution was a way to put off the embarrassment until after the 2004 elections.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been much more constructive to announce the facts before the 2004 election without a prosecution than to withhold the facts and have a result like this one.
