The
SugarPlum has practiced this piece ("Springtime") hundreds of times over the past month and committed it to memory. Sunday afternoon was the piano recital for her class. We decided to do a "dress" rehersal prior to leaving for the show.
plez sez: she played it even better at the actual recital!
OMG!!! How cute is she. Great JOB. Thanks for sharing that with us.

plez and Sugarplum - Wild applause, standing ovation. What a great job she did! I know the recital drill all too well. It's good to see our kids gain an appreciation for music early in life.
ReplyDeleteGood for little Miss Sugar Plum. Our son plays the clarinet in his band. Next year he aims to switch to the sax. But tomorrow he'll be performing a solo of "Amazing Grace" for his end of the year band concert. He's come a long way from last year's squeaking and squawking (LOL).
ReplyDeletedp,
ReplyDeletethanks for the applause. we just gotta get those little fingers in place to play some classical music.
lori,
the clarinet to saxophone must be a natural progression for boys... i did the same thing: took up clarinet in the third grade and switch to alto sax in the seventh grade. and my 10 year-old nephew currently plays the clarinet, and my sister says that he intends to go to the sax in a few years.
