Minneapolis is a clean midwestern city and just about every professional Black man that I saw during my visit was a Kappa man (there are very few Black residents in the city). I enjoyed the fraternizing, and hanging out with two Brothers who pledged me back in 1982 at Georgia Tech, as well as, Brothers from my alumni chapter from Stone Mountain-Lithonia, GA. I was able to reconnect with friends that I have made over the last 25 years, and also met many more for the first time. I even had an opportunity to visit and tour the University of Minnesota (The Psi) Chapter fraternity house with a number of undergraduate members.
Kappa Alpha Psi Song - "Stroll Down Kappa Lane"
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was founded on January 5, 1911 on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana by ten Black male students. We hold our Grand Chapter Meeting (or Conclave) every 2 years in a different city in the United States. Our next Conclave will be held in Washington, DC in 2009 and our Centennial Conclave will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Now, it's back to reality! *smile*

Yo, my alma matter, IU! Skee Wee!
Toga, Toga!!!
I "bounce" UMass frat parties for my buddy Hiroshi who owns my golf course and I gotta tell you...frat boys have gotten soft!!! These kids today can't handle their liquor, think they are gods gift to the world and are metrosexual to the point of wearing a tiara. Frat guys used to be stand up dudes who could drink you under the table then bust your ass on the ballfield at 8AM the next day.
Kids!!!
welcome back, plez!
D.Sullivan - that's hilarious! ...wearing tiaras. LOL!
david,
i'm with you on the "wuss factor" associated with today's students... they are soooo "soft"! in my day, we'd get shit-faced drunk on friday night and then be up at 7am on saturday morning for our community service projects. guys today are done after one Corona Light!
and don't even get me started on this whole metrosexual foolishness... you and i both know what the HELL that's a euphamism for: SISSY!
mizrepresent,
gotta send out a SKEE-YO to my girl... my baby sister is an AKA (Rutgers '85).
CAP,
it's good to be back, home! *smile*
i couldn't find enough trouble, nor liquor, in minneapolis! i found the most liquor during my hotel's little happy hour every afternoon at 5pm!
My father and my grandfather (mothers father) were both Kappas! And they never, EVER allowed me to go to any parties at the DC Kappa house!
Kappas are an interesting breed: theyre smooth, coutreous, considerate on one side, then...they know how to get down and seriously dirty on the other! LOL
The head of my sex club is a Kappa!!
AHAHAHAHA!
Ok, lemme stop now.
:)
