plez sez: i am training this week in preparation to facilitate my company's new hire training over the following two weeks.
these quotes encompass the thought process that i use when i'm teaching a class: i'm not there to spoon feed my students with information, but to provide them with a thirst for knowledge.

oooh, i LIKE these quotes, Plez...may have to borrow them for my Wed. Wisdoms...but then again we share some of the same "constituents". LOL!
i am a similar type of teacher. when people come to me for facts & i steer them toward resources I've been challenged with: "Shouldn't u know this since you're the teacher!?"
I smile and say, "My job is to show u where to get the info."
i would love to see these quotes in your Wednesday Wisdom!
Nice quotes! I especially like the first. I always say that I may not have the answer to a question, but I can find it! ; )
Glad to see you're playing the game!
I try to give my students a thirst for knowledge, but some of them have had any interest in knowledge hormoned right out of them at their age! I know it's still buried in there somewhere, though.
anali,
i had a blast playing the BlogRoll Game! i found some very interesting sites.
dewey,
sounds like your students are teenagers?!? *smile*
I did a training this past week for a large data-collection project at my job. By the time I was done the only thing that the staff was thirsty for was my blood! Maybe you can give me some pointers. I'm not kidding.
keith,
i just wrote a blog entry on training... check it out.
