Quote of the Day - May 29, 2008

“He too had been deceived, and therefore became unwittingly involved in deceiving me. But the top White House officials who knew the truth — including Rove, Libby, and possibly Vice President Cheney — allowed me, even encouraged me, to repeat a lie."
- Scott McClellan, former Bush press secretary recounting the deception surrounding the leaking of the identity of a C.I.A. operative, Valerie Wilson

Read the entire New York Times article about McClellan's outrageous claims about the Bush Administration's ineptitude here.

plez sez: little scotty mcclellan spent hung around the bush administration for five years (three of them as the press secretary), listening to lies and coverups and half-truths and the betrayal of the trust of the american people... and now he wants to peddle a book about it! i'm not sure who is worse, mcclellan or the scum (like cheney, libby, rove, rice, and bush) that he writes about.

i guess that one can expect that the bush-wackers (backers) would bring full throttle defense of the indefensible bush administration: rove, bartlett, et. al. but i wonder why this guy hung around as long as he did, seemingly cow-towing and agreeing with all of the *ISH* that was going on, until his arse was FIRED!

plezWorld is no fan of bush and the bushettes, but this drivel (which incidentally is a day late and a dollar short) smacks of sour grapes. nothing new is revealed, we've known the lies about the war in iraq for four or five years now! scooter libby took the fall for the valerie wilson mess. george bush still looks like an idiot for flying over the katrina disaster. so what's new?

My points exactly. But I also understand that maybe Scottie would like to appease his conscience. I watched this guy for three years and I could almost guarantee what his response will be: no comment, can't comment on that, I'm not at liberty to discuss that . . .
