Cynthia McKinney - Again!

US Representative Cynthia McKinney speaks again. She came home to the 4th District this weekend for some home cooking and made the mistake of settling in for an interview with a local news station. What happened at the end of the interview is ... well, NOT shocking! Click the McKinney Speaks Again link on the CBS46.com Video Headlines section to see the actual video footage.

plez sez: I call Cynthia McKinney, my Boo, because I just love the way she represents my district in Congress and in the media! She always knows just what to say and do, and when to say and do it. I'm sure that Congress in its entirety hopes that she retains her seat in the upcoming election, because what would Washington, DC be without my Boo!

Now, how in the heck are you going to come home, grant an interview, and then get pissed off when the reporter asks you questions about you making an ass of yourself while you are supposed to be representing your constituents in Congress? How in the heck are you going to lamblast one of your staffers when YOU are ill-equipped to answer questions that anyone (including a television news reporter or any one of your constituents) would want to ask? How in the heck are you going to come back on the air and try to strong arm that television news reporter into not using the audio of you lambasting one of your staffers and maintain even the slightest modicum of dignity while doing it?

plez sez more: If you vote for Cynthia McKinney in the upcoming Congressional election, then you are an idiot. 'Nuff said!

Slow news day, plez?
Your obsession with McKinney would be better served with people who are really corrupt like Abramoff and Ney and Cunningham but you seem to have a thing for Cynthia.
I hope your wife doesn't find out.

Just kidding!!!

I stayed away from Cyndi for a while, but it just kind of fell readily to hand and keyboard the other day:

roderick,

Is it that obvious? I mean she is my Boo and all. And I really did agonize about whether to post this latest "adventure", but it was just soooo damn juicy and luscious like those ... damn! there I go fantasizing about her again!

HA HA HA!!!

It wasn't so much that it was a slow news day, but Blogger.com was acting up this morning and it took over 2 hours to post this one entry ... I do work for a living!

Props to CBS 46 for standing up for the First Amendment. Yeah, like a woman dressed like Big Bird is going to tell a local TV station what they can and cannot report on its air, when she 1) granted them the interview, and 2) like an airhead, forgot that she was wearing an open mike.

And the verbal F*** you by the CBS 46 anchorman afterward was just splendid editing, IMO.

I just get the feeling that people pick on her because they disagree with her politics and and they make it personal.

I think it's really funny when people criticize her for being too close to NOI and her being anti-Semetic. I don't really see either of those things threatening blacks.

Personally I don't think her criticism of the Jewish influence at least Israeli Jewish influence on American foriegn policy is out there.

Just the other day it was revealed Steven Rosen a pro-Israel lobbyist who is a member of American Israel Public Affairs Committee accused Condi Rice of leaking a national defense information to him. Mr Rosen is on trial for receiving and disclosing such information.

I don't think America's close relationship with Israel is going to be so close after Americans realize how much undue influence Israel has on American foreign policy.

I have no problem with Israel or American Jews but I think Aemrican foreign policy should concentrate on what is in America's best interest.

roderick sez: I just get the feeling that people pick on her because they disagree with her politics and and they make it personal.

plez sez: Her politics aside, you have to admit that she has a tendency to exhibit behavior which runs counter to the norm and that behavior tends to intice people (especially, the media) to take a closer look at Ms. McKinney. And believe me, under close scrutiny, it ain't pretty. Her behavior in that interview was abhorrent, in light of the incident that occurred a few weeks ago. What made her think that she was going to be interviewed and not be asked about the Capitol Hill Police incident? For me, it seriously calls into question her level of intelligence AND her level of arrogance to think that she would not be held accountable for her actions while representing my district.

roderick sez: Personally I don't think her criticism of the Jewish influence at least Israeli Jewish influence on American foriegn policy is out there.

plez sez: Personally, I don't either! *smile*

roderick sez: I don't think America's close relationship with Israel is going to be so close after Americans realize how much undue influence Israel has on American foreign policy.

plez sez: Israel has thrived on the teat of the United States since the Palestinians were driven from there land back in 1947. I believe the US would be more inclined to support Israel than Puerto Rico! Israel has existed for a very long time in a very hostile environment and despite how most Americans feel about the arrangement, our foreign policy will always include a close relationship with Israel (their existence depends on it) - why do you think we're making plans to dismantle Iran and its fledgling nuclear capabilities?

roderick sez: I have no problem with Israel or American Jews but I think Aemrican foreign policy should concentrate on what is in America's best interest.

plez sez: Unfortunately, US foreign policy has been (and will continue to be) concentrated on those areas of interest that have the largest and best paid lobbyists in Washington, DC.

To bring this full circle, I'm sure that foreign policy is something that US Rep. McKinney has tried to rail against during her stints in the Capitol. Unfortunately, her baggage (crazy ass behavior, general lack of preparedness, and the wide net of unsubstantiated claims and allegations) causes many to minimize her effectiveness as a legislator and relegates her to the trashbin of buffoonery. She is so incredible, she is not credible; her seat in Congress would be better filled with someone whose voice can be heard.

I think that's the whole point--any good that comes out of works that McKinney is a part gets lost in this sideshow of her saying crazy things, wearing funky hairdos, attacking security with cell phones, making up tall tales, wearing outrageous Big Bird outfits, and talking down to reporters. I don't think anybody criticizes her politics, to a degree, as much as they criticize her candor as a United States Representative; which, at this stage, is no better than that of Jim Traficant.

If we're going to focus on corrupt a-holes like Abramoff, Ney, and Cunningham, we'd be better served by losing a clown that's putting on a sideshow, and causing a distraction.

Roderick: I think your first point negated your second point.

Roderick: I've never heard such a BS statement in all my life.

Do you chose what you eat everyday or do you allow someone else to make that decision for you?

If one of your co-workers comes to work with a bad attitude does that give you an excuse to slack off?

The reason the media in Atlanta is going her is because her political views are unpopular with some influencial down there.

If they really wanted to focus on real scandals anything that Bush has done this week we'd be better off but they chose to get distracted by trivial matters like McKinney calling one of her staffers a fool.

Where was all of this media attention when Dick Cheney told a sitting Senator on the Senate floor to go f- himself? Then he went on FOX and told the country bragging about it saying it made him feel better.

Methinks that what a sitting VP says is a bit more important than what one member out of a 535 member body says.

If I didn't live in the Fourth Congressional District in Georgia, I wouldn't give a rat's ass about Cynthia McKinney! I would be laughing my ass off and wondering who in their right mind would spend the necessary energy to vote for such a goddamn buffoon.

But I do live in the Fourth District ... and her words, actions, and deeds give me heartburn everytime another story or article or interview is broadcast with her as the subject matter. She doesn't represent me, she doesn't represent my interests, and she's gone a long way to embarass those (roderick included) who continue to endorse and embrace her (and her shenanigans).

Hell, I think George W. Bush is a buffoon! But my neighbors and my district (by and large) were not responsible for him being in the White House, my neighbors and my district are directly responsible for treating America to the latest exploits of one Cynthia McKinney. And I have a problem with that!
